Timothy R. Hovey became an owner in Hovey Construction, LLC in 2002 and subsequently changed the name of the organization to The Hovey Companies, LLC. Tim currently is the managing member of the company and is responsible for the day to day operations of the firm. In addition to company oversight, Tim is involved in development financing, tax credits, securing limited partners, loan closings, construction oversight, asset management of over 700 multi-family units and part owner in several apartment communities throughout the State of Michigan.

In 2003, Tim Hunnicutt joined The Hovey Companies, pursuing a life long goal to develop real estate. His exodus from 16 years of employment with the State of Michigan and 20 plus years of construction experience, provide a unique combination of commitment to public service, fluency with governmental programs, interagency relationships, project management, and residential construction and design. His experience and professionalism are key assets in tackling today’s development challenges, and creating project specific strategies meeting the varying needs and vision of Michigan communities.

Coupled with the company’s expertise with complex financing essential to residential development, municipalities across the state will benefit from Tim’s ability to integrate private investment with governmental initiatives, and community revitalization goals.
